A Sims 3 Story
Lord Oxfridge from Bournemouth had thought it was a good idea to start business with an American partner, Mr. Smith, who involved him in the slavery market.
Even if he was a noble Englishman, his finances were starting to run quite low in the last few years, and he really needed to have an injections of funds.
In 1850 slavery was a very lucrative business, and Lord Charles Oxfridge didn't think twice.
He convinced his wife, Lady Charlotte Oxfridge, and his daughter, ten years old Camilla, to pack up their things and follow him in this new adventure.
They sailed away from Bournemouth on the Radiant Star, a ship bound to the Western coast of Africa, to collect a new shipment of slaves (he really didn't think about them as "people", but merely as "chance of profit").
The trip to Africa was smooth.
At the African slave market, Lord Oxfridge evaluated and bought a hundred slaves.
Men, women and children were locked in the ship's hold, then the Radiant Star sailed again towards North America.
The noble family passed their time in the Captain's quarters, barely leaving it and not having contact with the peasants crew. They took it as a pleasant journey, a long holiday before their new life in America.
Lord Oxfridge changed his mind about the good idea when a massive storm brought down the Radiant Star, in the middle of the night, and in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
The whole family made it to a lifeboat, and they started to pray as gigantic waves swelled around them.
Next morning they were casted upon a white shore of a unidentified tropical island, along with a lot of the sunken ship's remains, some corpses and a slave boy.
He made it through the storm hanging on barrell all night, he was exhausted, malnourished, could'nt speak English, but he was alive. Lord Oxfridge named him Mandingo, cos he really lacked of imagination an had no sense of the meaning of "racism".

A year passed.
Lord Oxfridge built a nice hut with the shipwreck, Lady Oxfridge started a garden with local edible plants, young Camilla helped her mother in tending the garden and learning to write and count on the few books they managed to rescue, and Mandingo passed the days fishing in the bay waters.
They waited in vain for a ship to rescue them.
They had no contact with any other people during those months.
They were castaways on a deserted island.
